Mona, 26, an Arab immigrant living in Chicago, runs away from home after she accidentally causes the death of her mother-in-law. Marilyn, her friend, 29, is fired from her job and finds out that her husband is cheating on her. She decides to go to Santa Fe to join a famous belly dance company. Together, they cross the USA, sleeping in a tent and earning some cash belly-dancing in restaurants.
