David, an independent photographer, and Katia, a young, unemployed woman, leave LA for the desert to find sets for a magazine photo shoot. Based in a motel in 29 Palms, they spend their days discovering and scouting the Joshua Tree Desert and losing their way on the roads and trails at the wheel of their 4×4. An impassioned pair, coupling incessantly anywhere and anytime, they fight and make up, according to the schedule of their daily lives and experiences. The suspense rising from the banality of their days and their extravagant behavior leads to a peak of ignominy and their ruin.
